History
Beginning in 1999, the company that would become ES3 was founded with the goal of saving time and reducing costs in CPG supply by collaboratively using people, processes, and technology to deliver world class safety, sustainability, quality, service, and productivity for our customers. ES3's focus has been on bringing manufacturers and retailers together to eliminate waste and share resources. This level of collaboration is unmatched in the industry and requires skill and scale in order to succeed.
ES3’s first collaborative warehouse was opened in 2002 in York, PA and housed 140,000 pallet positions. In 2005, ES3 York added 100,000 more pallet positions. Following the success of the York facility, ES3 expanded, opening a facility in Dallas, TX in 2003, and Atlanta, GA in 2004.
In 2007, ES3 began work on their D2SSM (Direct-to-StoreSM) program. D2SSM was created to streamline supply solution for the grocery industry by eliminating a distribution center and leg of transportation. Following successful testing in 2009, ES3 rolled out the D2SSM program to Northeast retailers in 2010.
Today, ES3’s York, PA facility supports the storage of 400,000 pallets, shipping of more than 300 million cases annually, and the management of more than 20,000 items.
The dreams of the original visionaries are being achieved every day as product flows directly from the manufacturers’ inventories to the stores. No duplicate storage or handling. No duplicate miles. ES3 is Efficient Storage, Selection, and Shipping. We are Supply Unchained.
