Collaboration is talked about more than it is
practiced. ES3 has created a
collaborative model that allows manufacturers and retailers a way to focus on
common goals and eliminate waste. This
model is driven by a council of participating manufacturers and retailers that
help define goals and drive continuous, sustainable improvements.
Collaboration starts with the design of the order flow and continues with sharing of accurate master data. It includes sharing forecasts, talking about events, and figuring out how to maximize sales through the use of tools like multi-manufacturer displays.
ES3 is built on a foundation of collaboration. The Consolidation and D2SSM programs work because of it. Manufacturers and retailers help make the supply chain more efficient and share in the resulting benefits. ES3 is collaboration in action.
